brick by boring brick

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY AND GONG XI FA CAI!

So I've finally found time to blog again, not to mention the uninterrupted internet access which has almost killed quite a few of my fish.. Lol, yes fishville.

School's been absolute shit, as usual but I'm hangin' on. Results came out a while ago for O, AS and A Level. So my parents, being the right kind of Asian (yes, we're considered Asian too :p) gave me a hell of a lecture, one each! Study hard blah blah blah. Like I don't know that already. I was bummed for a while, but I got over it, like always.

ANYWAY, Preparations for @FattiH's wedding are... still going? I think it's safe to say she seems to be the least excited about her own wedding, which really doesn't even surprise me knowing her. Can't wait to go to India again in June! It's going to be as hot as hell though around that time, very helpful for my vampireyness. No, I don't sparkle in the sun.
AND OF COURSE TO SEE ASH DD! She's preggersss! I'm gonna be an auntyyy! :D Can't imagine her with a swollen belly! I think I'm probably more excited than she is. I've thought of baby names and everything, if it's a girl, then it'll be Zulaiqa. HAHA

It feels kinda weird being recognised as an upper-sixer. I wouldn't say that I haven't gotten used to the fact, because A2 really helps in that aspect with the workload, and all these new responsibilities to be good examples for our incoming juniors. HAHA yeroiiight.
The lowers will be coming in soon, let's hope there's something(s) to look at. HAHA I MEAN UH.. I'll help them feel at home? (a)

I've decided to make myself feel less useless this year, and join a couple of clubs. Yes, I did need some extra motivation but still.
Syazwi and Co have decided to start a School newsletter/magazine thing for every term, so I've signed on as articles editor :D I read about it on Twitter earlier [cough* stalker alert] so I'm hoping for the best (: Did my first assignment thing last night, which was... interesting, to say the least.
Oh, and tennis too! Yeah, I know what you're thinking... HOW did somebody manage to get me into that? :P But it's pretty cool and I actually do look forward to it :P

Besides that, everything else has been pretty average. Literally same old, same old.
How are you guys? :D

and P.S.: Happy Belated Birthday Mark Anthonyyyy! :)

Twenty ten, baby!

Time for Miracles ♪ Adam Lambert

So it's officially the last day of 2009. Must say it's been one heck of a year, and I'm sure you all agree.

Let's see...

- Scramble for our O level results: crazyyyy stuff! I know a bitched a LOT (and I mean A LOOOOOOTTTTT especially after graduation EHEH) about PDS after I left, but now I just wanna say thank you to my Alma Mater (cue the AWWWWW) LOL~ But really though, I miss the highschool days already, can't believe it's only been a year! And all you exPDS Katok-ers!

- choosing the right sixth form centre to join: I looked into JIS, ISB, Katok and even overseas!

- induction into Maktab Duli:
I don't regret choosing this place, I've met just way too many wonderful and just all-round awesome people I've met and become so close to in just literally a couple of months. <3

- Melbourne trip:
WHAT CAN I SAY I'M IN LOVE WITH THE PLACE! No but seriously though, I'd love to stay there! Especially during winter EHEH. Plus, it was the first time in a long time that I had visited a country I've never been to before, so that made the trip all the more memorable!

- Eid in India:
hadn't had this in ages, so it was a little different to not be in the yearly routine, but it was good anyway (:

- Mocks and AS Levels: 'nuff said.

- The countless times I had hangouts during lunch/PS-es with probably the best company you can get:
I could name you guys one by one here, but I don't need to. You know who you are and thanks for making school a little less boring & schedule-y and all the more exciting (:
I LOVE YOU GUYS!

I think I'll spend tomorrow writing up a list of resolutions. I realised I haven't done this in ages because I'm always so sure I won't fulfill 'em, but I'm gonna give it a go this year anyway. One list of resolutions for 2010 comin' up! :D
Okay, I should've started last week. This'll take a little longer than it should.

Undisclosed Desires ♪ Muse

Yet again, I've got a new layout! Not because I got tired of the old one, but because these pre-set ones are so much easier to handle [even though they're a wee bit lame-r] and all the more neater.

The KK trip's in 3 days, and I'm all packed & ready to go. Just gotta get those last minute stuff together. I wonder what we're gonna do there in the space of 5 days, and I'm sure it's gonna be a little different since I'm going with my cousins' family, but I'm looking forward to it nonetheless.

If only blogger had a reblog button, I'd reblog a bit of Wana J's post.. It goes something like this:

Being frustrated as a Liverpool fan would be a major understatement right now. Fak, I want my awesome team back :( Whatever happened to them?

Yea, the season's not ours at all. Hopefully all those Christmas wishes of ONLY LIVERPOOL winning/atleast getting into the top four by the end of the season. Oh, do I praaaay for a better 2nd half of a season. AMIIIIIIN!

Other than that, just the fact that I've only got one proper plan for December, and I don't even know if I'll be ALLOWED to go. Booooo! I'll need to use my superpowers to persuade my parents, who'll be coming back from India that very same dayyy. Hope their flight's in the morning EHEH.

P.S.: XABIER ALONSO OLANO WAS IN THE STANDS DURING THE ARSENAL GAME. I KNOW YOU MISS US, SO LEAVE REAL MADRID AND COME BACK TO US ALREADY. CAN'T YOU SEE THE DISASTER?

I mean uh... hey there.

Blog revival 9783457th time.

Yes, I've decided to revive it, yet again because I feel bad. HAHA No literally, I feel bad for ditching blogger for twitter. It's just so much easier to tweet from your phone than to sit down, grab a laptop/computer, and open a blank page just to have everything that happened that day deleted from your mind just when you thought looooads of interesting things to post about. I know I'm not the only one this happens to :p

What's new.. Hmm I've literally just finished the first year of my Maktab Duli 2-year course [haha fancyyy] and honestly it couldn't have gone any faster! I'm actually going to miss having free time. I've gotten loads of warnings and such from current seniors, they've got me shitscared :S Quote: "You won't have time to feel bored next year". THANKS HAM! *forced smile.

The wise words of my chemistry teacher which I think I've blogged before:
"YOU ALL DON'T HAVE HOLIDAYS UNTIL THE END OF NOVEMBER 2010!"
Brilliant.
I've honestly enjoyed this year actually. Meeting loadsa new people, being a LOT less anti-social [Hey I don't like being a loner, as much as it seems!], met some of the coolest people I'll ever meet, definitely missing the PDSers <3 and PDS SMS School altogether a lot more than I thought I'd be. So all that complaining really, was just me complaining because I... like to complain.

Other than that, I don't really want to talk about Liverpool's status in football right now, hopefully there's going to be a turnaround and DEFINITELY LESS INJURIES PLEASE. We're like cursed this year or something, it sucks so bad. :/ I'm keeping the faith tho, we're going to make it to the top 4 atleast by the end of the season (y) YNWA!

Missed the last two days of school because I was suddenly hit with this virus sort of thing, which had be literally in bed for almost two days, with the IV line and all. And 'cuz of this, I couldn't hangout with Jan on Wednesday and feel totally shitty about it :( IMY @OHRIELLEY! At least I managed to see her though, PDS Primary graduation last week. Come back soon, and for longer! Btw, Arf's going to be in Form1! That's secon-freakin-dary! I feel so old!

DID I MENTION I'M ON HOLIDAY NOW? HELLZ YESSIREE. Not that it makes a difference, really. I'll just be a few hundred pounds heavier by the end of it. And totally clueless on school work. But hey, that's what holidays are for! :D

Reading from the last post, we did go to India for Eid, it was good I guess, felt different after having Eid in Brunei for so long [no open-housing was like a cultureshock!] but overall it was good with the cousins and stuff (: Not to mention nice baju EHEH.

P.S.: I just read some of my last few posts. Man, do I sound bimbotic or what?

OTHUM.

Have I really been that busy that I can't even find the time to blog or even MICRO-blog now? Yes, I'm referring to twitter if you're wondering. Must be the lack of interesting things happening. Oh, surprise surprise :p

Aaanyway, the outing with Miz, Mark and Mirul was fun. Glad we picked "Night at the Museum 2" as our last minute movie choice :P Try to get better seats than we did though. 2nd from the front gives a really bad neck-ache. ^^ But it's a heck of a good laugh, and its apparently much, much better than the first one [which I only watched half of], so yeah, go for it if you get the chance.
Gonna miss your random bursting into a song-ness, Mark!

it's been a long week [or two?] hasn't it?

Monthly test after monthly test after homework after monthly test. Busy busy busyyy! Basically that's all that's been happening over at my life. Thinking Skills is a confirmed C. Though he said it was harshly marked, doesn't make me feel any better. Bio, C too I guess? I'm not sure if we're gonna have any more tests there. Chemistry tests are never-ending on the other hand! Gah. She just can't get enough of failing us, I think.
THANKGOD FOR THE MATH RETEST actual test coming up after trigonometry. I would've died if my only "safe-straight-ATLEAST-B" subject had an E next to it :S If that makes any sense. *sigh.

The ECA thing didn't happen, yes even now. I can't be bothered, firstly, and second, I don't think I'm giving up half day Tuesday for badminton!

FOUR FREAKING ONE

Whew. What a week!
I had to go to KL for my sister's graduation last weekend, and I missed 2 days right, the chemistry teacher ends up giving a shitload of work. So, I got my sister to help me out with that. All the other subjects seem fine though, but like I said... the bad vibes were right. We've got about just a little over a week off starting tomorrow, and whoopieee, shitloads of holiday homework.

YOU ALL DON'T HAVE HOLIDAYS TILL THE END OF YOUR A LEVEL EXAMS!!! - guess who?

The KL trip was a good "getaway" though. I was a little anxious about leaving college [ :0 ] for 2 whole days because I saw the workload. But I managed to... manage my stuff. :P

Besides managing workloads and my newfound allergies, FOOTBALL WEEK WAS AAAAAAAAAAWESUUUUUUUUUUUM. The downside, I didn't watch either matches [Real Madrid and Manchester United] live for different reasons. What games to miss, ey? Thank god for replays.

I didn't join any ECAs. Stupid me. I hope it isn't too late after the holidays? :P sucker much.

I need pictures on here, don't I?

p.s.: MANCS GOT PWND AT HOOOOOME :p

Are you twins?

So we had the first day of lessons today, at Maktab Duli. (; I'm proud to say I didn't get lost. Okay, I couldn't find my way because I didn't check which classroom I was using for the respective subjects. 0:-)

Block 1 - Chemistry - Mrs Elias
Block 2 - Math - Mr Zachariah
Block 3 - Thinking Skills - Mr Fitt
Block 4 - Biology - Cikgu NoorLinda
Block 5 - Private/Personal Study.

I have a feeling I won't be enjoying chemistry much. It's the vibes I'm getting from the teacher? HAHA idk mayn. She gave us a test on the freaking first class to see how much we know/remember. I hadn't touched the freaking books in the last 3 months. I even gave them away and stuff :P So yeah. Thinking skills seems pretty interesting but I'm a little intimidated by my Maths classmates, apparently they most got 1s and 2s for dmaths and admaths, and yes they ALL took admaths. So yeah, it's an academic race, quoted by Mr Zach. Yaay.

I haven't gotten my biology textbooks, but I heard there are 6 of them. Yes SIX, ENAM, CHEY. But that's nothing compared Chemistry, 5 fatass books man which are bigger than the 6 bio books combined. So yeah. On top of that, we don't even have to bring the Chemistry books to school, it's for self study. THANKGOD.

Apparently Sarah and I look like, quoted "twins". No exaggerating here, srsly. Some people even thought we were the same person! I don't think I look anything like her, but then again I guess it'll take some time. It's a bit disturbing though :S HAHA Here are a few things people said to me.

"Are you two twins?" Hell no.
"You're the girl who's friend that tall girl right from STPRI?" Um, no that's my cousin.
"You're the girl who's the one who took physics, right?" I don't take Physics, that's my cousin.

DO WE REALLY FREAKING LOOK THE SAME? :P

Aaaanyway, I'm looking forward to meeting all my classmates, and actually remembering where my classes are without whipping out my diary and asking around doofusly. 8-| But it's still the first day of class, so yeah. I kind of have a good feeling about MD, suprise suprise!

Aside from school, the only other thing is football. It's a big week for us! Real Madrid and Manchester United in one week. Heart-failure week! I can't wait. I do hope I get to watch them though, I'd probably die before kick-off because of my nervesessss.

I've gotten a horrible, horrible heatrash from the sun though. Gah it's unpreventableeee.

<3

please see: Monday's off. Maulud (: 2 daaays.

animosity

I just had a discussion with the other girls in the family about all the restrictions we have, so we have come to the conclusion that, if we should be in this family, we should be boys, cuz they can do whatever they want.
Yea, they might argue that they have rules too, but they can do a hella lot more than we can. I mean seriously, the rules we have are so unreasonable, and lacking freedom [even after they're 21!!!]. The thing is that we live in a family where we listen and they speak , no matter how much they deny that, it is the case most of the time. Which is so messed up, it's pissing off. Which century do they think they're in? And do our opinions even matter? Or are they too "modern" for your liking?

And another thing, American Idol's on yeah, and they're trimming down to top 12 I think. And there's this one guy, Anoop Desai, who's like.. sort of out, but can come back on the show if he gets the wildcard thing after they pick the top 9 from the three groups [3 from each] and this is what I'm reading everywhere.

Eh, yg kaling tu disqualified sdah kan from idol?

Wtf people, he has a freaking name. I'm just wondering if these people even know that kaling is a racist slur. And that it is offensive and not funny? And just cuz Russell Peters says some stuff, doesn't mean you can too :P
Gah.

GAHHHHHHH. Die, world, die.

I'm sorry to fill my entry with such negativity, but it's just the way it is right now. It's the way it's always been.

The lifelessness has been going around quite a bit among those who're just waiting for registration and stuff now. Glad I'm not the only one then, though I'm sure none of them have restricting parents. LOL. That's all I've been complaining about for the past few days. Because that's what I do. HAHA. Yea, the social life thing, forget I said it. Hasn't been helping me feel good about myself *emo-ly hides in the corner.

Mark's bash is on the 12th, the same day Jan is leaving, and I don't know if I can go because, AGAIN, my parents have their own "practical reasons". I haven't asked yet, but yea I think I can see it coming. So yeah, Sarah and I are gonna ambush. HAHA

The rains have pretty much stopped now, and it's actually pretty hot today. Darn it, the cold weather was enjoyableee HAHA.Yea, we don't get that all that much around this region of the earth :p I mean seriously, I was hoping for snow. HAHA. And I'm so jealous of them people with their statuses about snow on facebook or whatnot.

I am officially gonna say it, I HOPE SCHOOL BEGINS SOON.

Pink Panther 2 was pretty good. It was a little, predictable because you know what to expect? But yeah, Steve Martin is da bomb XP

Pompey vs Liverpool man. My heart turned 90 after watching that, but then again, I get that with every liverpool match. But yeah, 3-2. :D YNWA.

I want to get my hair dyed againn. :P

cold rain = love

I went to watch SMS vs JIS football a few days back, met up with rowee and margaret and all (: I have to admit I didn't really watch the match all that much, but I think I know the score? HAHA! It was quite fun even though my knees died that night of cramps from the cold. Met a few new people too.

And yea, today I watched Inkheart today, because Sarah dragged me to go with her! HAHA I wasn't really in the mood but it's akayyy. It was an interesting movie btw, but it reminds me of something I've seen/read before.

And yes, I noticed, I've actually been going out quite a bit now! My social life is getting reborn? HAHA Yea too ambitious to think of that now :P Since school hasn't started and all.

The rain hasn't stopped, though I kinda like the chill weather that comes with it. I have a thing with watching rain. It's so prettyy (: But yea I'm sure you'd hate it or something if your house is all flooded and shit. EHEH.

Lynz is having a Bollywood themed 18th birthday bash on the 28th this month. The thing is.. IT'S ALL THE FREAKING WAY IN KAYBEE BABYY. Dayyum. I've got so many clothes and shit. HAHA But yea, Sarah and I are planning to ambush our parents anytime next week, just hoping for the best time to get them most vulnerable. Yea okay, who am I kidding. We're leaving it to the last minute yknow. Cuz otherwise they forget that they gave us permission in the first place. :P And I thought my memory was bad!
